Perfusio’s technology was invented in 2010 at East Carolina University (ECU) by a team of cardiothoracic surgery, optical physics, and engineering experts. Perfusio continues to work with ECU to expand our platform of medical imaging applications and devices. To date, 13 U.S. and international patents on this platform technology solution have been allowed, and R&D also is supported by federally funded extramural grant support.
